HSHC Wish List

The Humane Society for Hamilton County uses a multitude of supplies throughout the day and year.   We are in constant need of items, but in an effort to NOT be wasteful, we ask that you follow the guidelines below.

All donors are provided with proper documentation for tax purposes.  We thank you for

Daily Supplies

Paper Towels
Trash Bags
o 13 gallon (tall kitchen size)
o 33 gallon (regular trash bag size)
o 55 gallon (Contractor/drum liner size)
Anti-Bacterial Dish Washing Soap  (Dawn is preferred)
Liquid Dishwasher Detergent
Liquid Laundry Detergent
Glass Cleaner (Windex, etc.)
All Purpose Cleaner (409, Fantastik, etc)
Toilet Bowl Cleaner
Disinfectant Wipes (Lysol, Clorox etc.)

Kennel & Cattery Supplies

We only feed dry and canned Science Diet Brand Foods in our Shelter – Dog, Cat,
Puppy, and Kitten Food
o All other UNOPENED donated foods will be distributed to families in need
Cat Litter (Non Clumping & Non Scented)
Bath Towels
Blankets
Comforters (ideally, we like them cut down and sewn into smaller pieces for bedding)
Folding Crates (New or Very Gently Used, Folding style only) Specific sizes needed
are 36” and 42”
KONG brand of dog toys – Small, Medium, and Large
Peanut Butter to fill the Kongs
Assorted small cat toys
Assorted cat treats
Catnip

Gas Cards  – We transport animals everyday to local vets, please help fill our gas

So I’m sure you can just imagine me walking around the house singing this for days on end. Annoying, right? Here’s the funny part: any time I now say ‘Figaro’, Izzy, my mutt, runs to the patio door and looks outside, as if she’s looking for a critter. She’s knows the words ‘bunny’ and ‘squirrel’, so I guess she thinks ‘Figaro’ must also be some kind of rodent. (Izzy also gets excited when we say bank, pet store, car, go, password, and forum. I can’t explain the last two-she’s just weird!)
